Renascence is a musical about discovering one's identity through the use of poetry. It follows the life of Edna St. Vincent Millay, as she overcomes numerous challenges to become the first ever woman to win the Pulitzer Prize for poetry. As the costume designer, I needed to find the balance between a multitude of contrasts present in the show, such as abstraction vs reality, period vs modern, and poetry vs prose.
